About 15 years ago, I received a prophesy in Isaiah.
“This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. ”
Isaiah 45:1-3 NIV
Lately the Lord has been reminding me of the promise, but he wanted me to understand the process. The first piece the bronze and majestic gate is closed and looks impossible to go through. To paint, I focused on the massive size, color, details. This piece shows my inability to get it open on my own. The second piece shows after He goes before me, the focus is no longer the gate, but the secret place that leads me to Him.
“Pour into me the brightness of your daybreak! Pour into me your rays of revelation-truth! Let them comfort and gently lead me onto the shining path, showing the way into your burning presence, into your many sanctuaries of holiness.” Psalms 43:3 TPT
