Gate Purified by Fire

This piece was the first oil in canvas as an act of obedience.  Although an architect, free-hand drawing and painting are not skills I had developed or enjoyed, although I always admired those who enjoyed and did it well.

At a youth conference in February of 2024, they had given participants markers, pencils, and walls covered in white paper, and leaders encourage the youth to express in drawings and words during praise and worship as in the Tabernacle of David. During that conference I did my first drawings and ABBA shared with me, He wanted me to start drawing painting what He would show me and He would also teach me how.

This piece was the first one I painted in obedience to that experience. While I listened to the song Praise by Elevation Worship, He guided me on shape and colors, which brushes to use and what strokes to paint. He only shared the gate at the end. 2024 is the year of the door in the Jewish calendar and the Father was purifying the door of my abilities to open the door for me to get to know Him in a deeper way.

My prayer is that this piece invites you into knowing Him deeper and in an intimate way as He longs to show you His pure love.
